1963 before I got my Amateur Radio license.
This one is in 1964 after I got my General license. As you can see from both pictures I was into Knight kits from Allied Radio.

Jerry,
Saddling up to head out with my dad on our annual trip to the Pate Swap Meet I wanted to follow up on your post. It is not lost on me that our forums do not really make it easy to upload pictures. So, thanks for your effort in posting those up. They are great. I pledge that we are going to invest in making the site more user friendly when it comes to posting pictures. The research has already started.
Thanks again,
Phillip
I have no problem posting pictures. I finally got the original pictures. My Daughter had given them to her mother in-law . Here they are:
In this one you can now see the parts tray (muffin pan) and the instruction manual. You had to mount all the hardware before you could start the electronic parts. In the lower right is my sleeping bag, back pack frame and other camping items. I had build all the equipment from kits except the reel to reel tape recorder. You will note the table is a door with legs added.
You can see the message pad in the lower right. I spend a lot of time on the Okla traffic net. on he lower left is my bug made from a hack saw blade. The slot above the 150 watt transmitter is a reel to reel tape recorder. I build the furniture for the station. the back is mostly open, and the front is hinged so I can remove equipment.
The RRVARC is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.
The Red River Valley Amateur Radio Club meets at High Cotton Kitchen (1260 Clarksville Street, Paris, TX 75460) usually on the 4th Saturday of each month. There is an optional breakfast gathering at 0830-0900 and the meeting starts at 1000. The Club meeting is conducted in the rear conference room.
Note: Special events like Field Day and some November and December meetings are excepted. Check the events calendar for special location, dates and time.
